Kristy Neumeier Sotnikow
Mrs. Kristy Neumeier Sotnikow began taking dance lessons once a week at the age of seven. She quickly added additional classes to her curriculum and at the age of 20 began more intense training in the A.D.A.P.T syllabus (Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers). Kristy was a Dancer, Choreographer and Captain for the "Saskatchewan Storm Dance Team of the World Basketball League" in 1990 and 1991. She performed professionally for Weird Al Yankovich in his "Straight Outta Lynwood" tour in the summer of 2007. She is a qualified A.D.A.P.T dance instructor who is constantly furthering her training through various workshops, conventions and ADAPT revision courses in Canada and the U.S.A. She has traveled to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Boston, New York and across Canada to remain on the cutting edge of what is new and fresh in the dance industry. During her travels she has been fortunate enough to take class from many celebrity choreographers such as Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, and Doug Caldwell to name a few. She has assembled teams of dancers and choreographed for many local events in Saskatoon with high profile clients such as Redken Hair Shows, Black Tie Bingo Hospital Charity Event and The Pink Lime Party. She has now been teaching dance for more than 20 years and has been a studio owner in Saskatoon for 14 years.
Kristy has made adjudicating provincial dance competitions and festivals a priority in recent years; she enjoys reaching students at this level and sharing their love of dance. Her own students have won numerous awards, scholarships and cash prizes at dance competitions and workshops locally and internationally. Kristy promotes exam work and competition work to her students so they are given every opportunity as dancers and performers. She believes that all dancers deserve a quality dance education.
With the support of her husband and two children, Kristy is thrilled to be the Artistic Director of Kristy's Dance Fusion where valuable life lessons are realized through the discipline and grace that dance class offers.
